Position: Library Intern
The Logan Public Library is currently taking applications for the position of Library Intern for the 2024/2025 school year.
Under the supervision & direction of the Library Director & the Youth Services/Programming Librarian the Library Intern is an opportunity open to a student entering 11th or 12th grade & is a valuable member of the Logan Public Library Team.
Job Qualifications: The applicant for this position must be entering 11th or 12th grade in Logan, Iowa & its surrounding area. Previous experience with children or libraries, or an enthusiasm for libraries, literature, archives, or education is recommended but not required.
Required Skills: The applicant must possess skills related to customer service, basic knowledge of technology (including internet usage, cellular devices, & daily computer maintenance) & be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
This is a flexible, part-time, paid position, with an anticipated 6 to 10 hours per week. This is a paid position, wage is $10.00 per hour.

- Support of the daily operations of the Logan Public Library including circulation desk
- Provide excellent customer service to our patrons
- Perform daily housekeeping, maintenance, & cleaning as time allows
- Assist with the set-up, presentation, & clean-up of public programming
- Other duties as required
